old school
Immediately after the feast of tabernacles, it became necessary that we unwind and rest from all the work that may have been put into the feast from the preparation till the last day. As such the very next month (November) which follows soon after the feast is declared a dress down month. This is a time when members are encouraged to dress light, simple but decently. Though optional, we also celebrate the privilege to look simple. The last Sunday of November is the Old Skool Sunday where members are encouraged to come dressed in old fashioned ways. We come dressed in the fashions of the 60s and before. All the gospel songs are selected from the very old style songs we call the OLD TIME RELIGION.
The dress down month and the OLD SKOOL Sunday come with their own peculiar beauty. All these help one to appreciate the beauty and wisdom of God Who is the Master Artist, Architect and beautician.
